Yamagata Reigyoko Plum selected under the Reigyoku brand fulfill all strict citeria. It is a sugar content of 18 degree or higher, free from blemishes, and weighs 200g or more. The color of the fruit skin is pale yellow-red, and the color of the pulp is yellow. The flavor is combination of strong sweetness and elegant sourness, making it addictive. It is very juicy with plenty of juice and combined with moderately firm flesh. The skin is not too sour, so its delicious to eat whole. It also has crack-like scratches that are proof of its sweetness.
There is a white powder (bloom) on the skin of the fruit, which is frutose produced by the plum and is a sign of freshness. When storing, wrap it in newspaper or paper and store it in the refrigerator to prevent moisture loss. Also, ripe plums do not last long, so be sure to eat them as soom as possible
