Okayama Grape Aurora Black is harvested since mid-July, but the harvesting period may vary slightly. Place of Okayama Aurora Black is an original breed registered in 2003.

Aurora Black is a prefecture's original breed grown from the natural mix of Aurora Red (nominal red) by the Okayama Prefecture Agricultural Test for easy eating with its high sugar content. It has excellent characteristics for transportation such as difficult to shed and long lasting after harvesting
